Hydro-therapy device.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a device for hydrophysiotherapy.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Currently, certain physiotherapy maneuvers can be performed with the cooperation of water, which improves muscle tonification.
An example would be the existing jet pools in the spas and the like, where the user is partially submerged in the pool and in the area of influence of a jet impeller, so that it is the user himself who directs in which part of the body the jet acts properly. It has the disadvantage that many times the user does not know well where he has to direct the jet to obtain adequate effect or massage, or he is not able to position himself precisely. In addition, the jet, being submerged, is slowed and loses strength.
Another example would be the Scottish shower - or alternating shower of hot and cold water - that dilates the blood vessels and shrinks them alternately, reactivating the blood circulation and toning the skin, an effect known as hydrotherapy. However, it has no appreciable muscle effects nor does it specifically treat certain incidents such as contractures or muscle toning in general
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The device for hydrophysiotherapy of the invention has a configuration that allows the combination of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, since it allows to apply the muscular pressure maneuvers on the patient by means of water jets easily manipulated by the professional physiotherapist and therefore easily directed to the most effective areas to obtain the desired effects.
According to the invention, the device comprises in its most basic realization:
-a source of water supply,
-at least, an impeller and / or pressure regulator to provide water at certain pressures from the water supply source,
-at least, a hose connected to the impeller and / or pressure regulator and provided with a therapeutic nozzle with handle for manual operation, and -air means of patient rest.
In this way the physiotherapist can handle the hose and direct the therapeutic nozzle (s) to the appropriate areas of the patient thanks to the handles of the nozzles or hoses, while the patient's air rest means allow the jets to reach the Same without any brake or interference. The impeller and / or pressure regulator would be any element belonging to the state of the art capable of modulating a certain flow rate at a desired pressure from the water supply source, such as a discharge pump if the source pressure is very low, or a pressure reducer or regulator if the source pressure is too high. The device can be arranged for example in a spa, or on the beach, providing if necessary a drain.
In this document, as a therapeutic nozzle it is understood that they are nozzles that make up

at its exit a jet with an appropriate beam, shape and / or pressure to achieve adequate pressure or contact on the patient; as air rest means it is understood that they are means that allow the patient to be accommodated in a resting position, for example lying down, so that their muscles are relaxed as in a physiotherapy table, and at the same time that the user is not submerged, to that the jets are not stopped by the immersion itself, and that it also exposes the part of the musculature or anatomy of the patient on which the jets are going to be directed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 shows a schematic overview of the device of the invention.
Figure 2 shows a detail in top view of the patient's air rest means, comprising a stretcher.
Figures 3 and 4 show details of two therapeutic nozzles of the device of the invention.
DESCRIPTION OF A PRACTICAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The device (1) for hydrophysiotherapy of the invention comprises:
-a source of water supply (2),
-at least, an impeller and / or pressure regulator (5, 50) for driving water at certain pressures from the water supply source (2),
-at least, a hose (3, 4) connected to the impeller and / or pressure regulator (5, 50) and provided with a therapeutic nozzle (6, 7) with handle (51) for manual operation, and -a means of air rest (8) of the patient.
Typically, the water supply source (2) is comprised of a cistern to have a sufficient accumulation without having to depend on the pressure or flow of the network.
The impeller and / or pressure regulator (5, 50) comprises in this example, not limiting of the invention, at least one pump (motor pump), which will drive the water from the tank to the appropriate pressure.
Precisely, and since there are physiotherapy maneuvers that require more or less pressure and surface of action, it is provided that preferably the device (1) comprises, at least, a first pump (5) of high flow and low and / or high pressure and a second pump (50) of low flow and high pressure. For example, the first pump (5) would be a centrifugal pump of 2 bars and 15,000 l / h and the second pump (50) would be a pressure pump of 6 bar and 50 l / minute.
It is also provided that the device (1) ideally comprises two first hoses (3) connected to the first pump (5) and two second hoses (4) connected to the second pump (50), so that the physiotherapist is allowed to work with both hands with hoses (3, 4) of the same type simultaneously. The corresponding cutting wrenches (52) are provided in the hoses (3, 4) to select the operating hoses. Through a console, not shown, it is possible to control the start-up of the pumps, regulate the pressure of the jets and / or the opening or closing of the cutting keys (52). In addition, in certain installations of a certain size, a water recovery circuit (60) with the corresponding scrubbers (61) and drive elements (63) can be provided where appropriate to disinfect the water before reuse, and / or heaters (62) for water.

On the other hand, the therapeutic nozzles connected to the first hoses (3) ideally comprise simple nozzles (6) - that is, with a single outlet with different shapes, for example in the form of a flute peak (see fig. 3), or round - to have a single stream of high flow and low and / or high pressure, and the therapeutic nozzles connected to the second hoses will comprise spray nozzles (7) - that is, with diffusers or multiple outlets - to have a high pressure multiple jet . Said spray nozzles (7) for example may comprise shower heads (simple or adaptable flow) (see fig 4).
In addition, the therapeutic nozzles (6, 7) are mounted on the respective hoses (3, 4) through interchangeable means, which allows different nozzles to be selected and used depending on the needs.
Finally, indicate that the patient's resting means (8) preferably comprise a moisture-resistant stretcher provided with a continuous support (8a) for the head and / or trunk and / or lower extremities, and independent supports (8b ) for the upper and / or lower extremities. It is also planned that they can have a footrest (8c) if they are inclined, to prevent the patient from slipping. Said footrest (8c) will ideally have a lockable slide (8d) to adjust its position to the patient's height. The provision of a cushion (8e) for leg support is also provided.
Obviously the present non-limiting example describes a device with a single stretcher, being able to service more than one stretcher, for example in a spa or spa, through more powerful pumps that supply several hoses
Described sufficiently the nature of the invention, as well as the way of carrying out it in practice, it should be noted that the provisions indicated above and represented in the attached drawings are subject to modifications in detail as long as they do not alter the fundamental principle.
